August 7 - FLOAT TRIP FOR ALL – YOUNG AND OLD
Mark your calendars now and plan to cool off with
us on a float trip down a portion of Current River on Saturday, August 7th.
We will meet at the building at 6 a.m. & carpool to Van Buren. There is a
sign up sheet in the back for those who want to come. We need an accurate
head count in order to obtain the number of inner tubes needed. More
information about supplies, lunch, etc. will be given in late July. If you
have any questions now, see Marie Getts or Adam Shipley.
August 22 - BACK TO SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP
- There will be a welcome fellowship meal for our college
students on Sunday, August 22nd, following morning worship
service. More information will be forthcoming in future bulletins.
Sept. 18 - LADIES’ DAY
The Anna church of Christ is hosting a ladies’ day on
September 18, 2010 from 9-2. Nicki Lawrence from Gideon, MO, is the
speaker on the topic, “How Can Christian Women Make the Church Stronger by
Being a Second Miler”, based on Matthew 5:41-42. They would like to
have an idea of how many may come, so please sign the sheet at the back of
the building by August 22 if you intend to go.
September 24-25 – Ladies’ Retreat at Bootheel Youth
Camp
Nov. 1 - Dec 4, 2010 : COATS WANTED
Calvin & Maria Box are going to organize a coat give-away, scheduled for
December 4, 2010. If you have any men’s, women’s, or children’s
outerwear that you no longer need or want, please put them (coats, jackets,
scarves, gloves, etc.) aside to donate to this cause. Collection will
begin November 1, 2010. If you have any questions, talk to Calvin or
Maria.
